Rules for Online Court Booking

Court bookings are:

  • only available within 5 days of the playing date;
  • limited to a maximum of 4 active bookings (rolling) per player in the system;
  • and we will not allow back to back bookings (with the exception below)

Rules don’t apply if a court is empty within 2 hours of the time of play. This means you can register for an unreserved court even if you’ve just played or you already have your 4 active bookings in the system.

Registration for GameTime

When you register with East York Tennis Club, your credentials will be loaded into GameTime. We’ll send you your “Club Number” and you can get started by logging in as a first time user via this FIRST TIME LOGIN page:

HOW TO SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT: Click here to watch a short tutorial that will walk you through setting up your account.

Booking a Court

Once logged in, you will be able to see a calendar showing available courts. Select a day at the top of the page to see availability for that day. You will be able to see which courts are open and you will be able to see who has made reservations. Once you select a time you will be brought to a new page where you need to enter the players’ names. We need to have both names in order to make a booking. Your name will be there automatically and you will need to add your opponent’s name. The computer will check both players against the booking rule. If all is OK you will see a check mark next to the player names and then you can click book to secure the court.

Cancelling Your Reservation

We understand that plans change. For that reason, there is an option in the system to cancel your reservation. No matter how close to the time of the booking, we ask that you please cancel if you cannot play. We have a limited number of hours, and it’s singles only so we need to make sure courts don’t sit empty while others want to play. There will be consequences for no shows. We will also keep an eye on last minute calculations. In these challenging times, please take even more care to be considerate and respectful to your fellow members.

Arriving and Exiting the Club

When you arrive at the club there will be a monitor who will check you in as the City of Toronto requires us to keep a record of all players.

We suggest you arrive between 5 and 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. There are no chairs available so you need to stand while you wait. At 5 minutes before the hour the monitor will ring a bell or sound a buzzer to indicate the current players need to leave the court. Even if there happens to be an empty court you want to use, you still need to exit and check in again. Once all the players have cleared, then the new players will be able to enter. Players will enter through the normal gate and will exit through the gate on the North West side of Court 1. Once you exit, we ask that you leave the club area promptly.
