Cyprien Tacq (Head Tennis Professional) ($80/hr + HST)

Cyprien Tacq is a Club Pro 2 certified Tennis coach & Coach 2 candidate, with over 10 years of coaching expertise. He worked with high-performance juniors at Mayfair Clubs with the Fainblum Academy and the Toronto Tennis Academy, honing his ability to train and develop competitive athletes, focusing on the technical, tactical and mental aspects of the game. In addition, Cyprien spent seven years with the Wanless Park Tennis Club, where he coached recreational players of all levels, creating a positive community atmosphere for players to both improve their skills and enjoy the game.

With a degree in Sports Management, Cyprien combines a strong academic foundation with practical coaching experience to bring a well-rounded approach to tennis development. Currently, he also works at the Badminton & Racket Club, coaching and guiding players of various skill levels.

 

Destiny Odefe (Head Assistant Tennis Professional) (rate $70/hr+ HST)

Destiny Udofe is a dedicated tennis coach with a strong background in player development across all skill levels. He brings years of hands-on coaching experience, blending technical expertise, strategic insight, and a passion for continuous improvement.

A former collegiate athlete, Destiny played on a tennis scholarship at Shaw University in North Carolina, competing at the NCAA Division II level. With nearly seven years of private coaching experience and roles with the City of Brampton, Palgrave Tennis Club and The Boulevard Tennis Club, Destiny has honed his ability to tailor training programs to individual player needs.

Destiny is currently in the process of completing his Coach 2 certification through Tennis Canada.

 

Simon Simsic (Assistant Tennis Professional) ($70/hr+ HST)

Simon is a certified Club Pro 1 tennis instructor with over seven years of coaching experience. A Toronto native, he developed his skills and passion for the game at Viewmount Park, where he both played and coached during his early years. Simon recently returned from Australia, where he expanded his international coaching experience.

His love for tennis was inspired by watching Rafael Nadal, whose playing style and determination sparked Simon’s own journey in the sport. He competed on the Northern Secondary School tennis team and continues to bring that same dedication and enthusiasm to his coaching.

 

Jordan Frieberg (Assistant Tennis Professional) ($70/hr+ HST)

Jordan began his tennis journey at Viewmount Tennis Club in Toronto at age 8, where he became a junior club champion and later a camp counselor and coach. Known for his approachable and engaging style, he works with juniors and adults across beginner to advanced levels in private lessons, clinics, and group settings. In 2025, Jordan coached internationally as a Senior Tennis Coach at Tennis Factory in Perth, Western Australia, where he spent six months delivering group and private lessons to players of all ages and levels, including adults, beginners, high-performance athletes, and competitive juniors. He instructed across Hot Shots, junior development, high-performance, cardio tennis, adult, and school programs.
Jordan holds Tennis Canada Instructor and Club Pro 1 Coaching Certifications. He competed for four years on the Wilfrid Laurier University varsity tennis team while earning his BBA and continues to compete regularly. Outside of tennis, he enjoys hockey, running, and traveling.

 

Morgan Lever (Private rate $70/hr+ HST)

A National level player, CP2 Tennis Canada certified coach & Coach 2 candidate, Morgan began his coaching career in 2015 here at East York Tennis club. He’s had the privilege of working at notable places such as ACE Toronto Tennis City, honing his skills and specializing with children, helping to support programs to engage and transition players from a recreational to a competitive level. He uses his own love and passion for the game to make tennis easy, fun, and accessible. He strives to give every player the fundamentals tools and a deep passion to pursue and play tennis for life. Morgan continues to compete, participating in Toronto Mens Majors Doubles (2019 Team Champion) and A2 leagues (Here at East York) respectively.

 

Andreas Mastrogianakos (Private rate $65/hr+ HST)

Andreas has been a part of the East York tennis community for nearly 15 years. He started taking lessons at six years old at EYTC, and he has been part of the EYTC coaching staff since 2021. In addition, Andres has his instructor level certification from the OTA, and has experience working with juniors and adults across a variety of different skill levels. He also coaches at the Granite Club year-round where he continues to expand his skills.  Concurrently, Andres is enrolled at Toronto Metropolitan University where he majors in Global Business Management with a minor in Finance.
