East York Tennis Club offers a variety of programs and events for our Adult members.

Programs and activities include:

Mens and Ladies competitive teams (Play at other Clubs)
Montly BBQ and Clinic
Weekly Round Robins
Ladders

In addition to the included programs, we will offer a vareity of group lessons and clinics available for purchase.

Some adult group lessons are available to non members. These are mostly the morning sessions. You need a guest or a Parent account to sign up for these.

Sign up and/or purchasing of these programs is done from inside your EYTC account. Below are the lists of the group lessons available to purchase

Summer Programming 2025

Fall Programming

Our September and October Adult Programs will run on two seperate three week cycles. Begining on Tuesday September 5th and running until Sunday October 15th/ Below you will find a full list of programs offered for the month of September and October. Our Programs at EYTC aim to create a clear pathway for all members from total beginners to advanced 4.0 plus players. You can see a visual summary of the programs (NEW LINK NEEDED)

Rating System:

Beginners (1.0-2.0)

Advanced Beginners (2.0-2.5)

Intermediate (3.0-3.5)

Advanced Intermediate (4.0+)

Clinic Details:

1 hour in length
3 week cycles
Capacity 6 to 1 Ratio (Cardio Tennis, Instant Tennis, Live Ball) $60 per session (some sessions may be $40 if there is a class missed due to holidays). A la carte option $25 per class.
Capacity 4 to 1 Ratio (Drill and Play, Learn and Play, Stroke of the Week) $75 per session (some sessions may be $50 if there is a class missed due to holidays). A la carte option is $30 per class.

Please note that all cancellations and changes are subject to the policies below:

There are no drop in make-up sessions for missed classes.
Injury or illness are treated on a case by case basis.
$25 “Admin fee” for credit card refunds.
Full club credit or refund up to 4 weeks before the start date of any program
Within 4 weeks and during: IF spot is filled, club credit on balance (prorated if applicable)

RAIN POLICY (PLEASE READ POLICY BEFORE REGISTERING):

Accounts will receive a club credit if a class is missed due to rain.
If 30 minutes or more of the class has been completed prior to any rain it counts as a class and you will not receive a club credit.

Class Types

Drill and Play

These programs are high intensity, high repetition & pure fun! Designed for practicing skills learned in our learn’n play clinics, drill programs are non-instructional more tactical focused point play in nature to allow you to get high volume practice and feedback. Time can vary between 60 and 90 minutes. Coach to player ratio is 4:1 (Min 3 players)

Learn and Play

These programs are designed to move you along the Adult pathway & improve your game efficiently in singles & doubles. These 60 or 90 minute classes are designed to provide more instruction and focus on improving technical and tactical skills. Coach to player ratio is 4:1 (Min 3 players)

Instant Tennis

This is our introductory tennis program for adult tennis players who want to learn the basic fundamentals and enjoy the game of tennis. Each 60-minute session will focus on stroke development, teaching players how to rally, court positioning and the rules of play. This program is geared toward players who have never played the game of tennis. Coach to player ratio is 6:1 (Min 4 players)

Cardio Tennis

60 minutes of high-tempo, high intensity drills and games. This class is perfect for all tennis and fitness levels. Come ready to work hard and have fun! Coach to player ratio is 6:1 (Min 4 players)

Live Ball

Double specific points game. Quick, fun and competitive to help sharpen up your doubles play. Come witha partner or go solo with a stranger - it doesn't matter. Object you and your doubles partner must challenge and win 4 points before losing 2 against the Champion pair. If you can, you become the Champions. The coach ensures that there is non-stop action.

Stroke of the Week

Stroke of the Week is your chance to learn something new or improve aspect of your game, every week the clinic will focus on one of the following categories. Some examples would be: Forehand, Backhand, Volleys, and Overhead/Serve

Drill and Play Advanced Beginner

A high-intensity, high-repetition, and fast-paced session designed for players looking to apply their skills in a competitive environment. These non-instructional clinics focus on tactical play and point-based drills to maximize repetitions and feedback.

Duration: 60 minutes
Coach to player ratio: 4:1 (Min 2 players)
Must be 2.5 player (refer to self rating guide)
